To better address the growing number of client referrals from APS and to expand our program to include a focus on the intersection of elder abuse and substance use, EAIME has been hard at work growing our Elder Services Connections team and adding several supporting roles that strengthen our organizational presence.
Since January, we’ve welcomed seven new Advocates to the organization. After several weeks of orientation, it’s exciting to see them beginning to engage with their first clients! We’ve also implemented a regional team structure to provide more support to a growing staff. We’re also excited to solidify support for our transitional housing, outreach, and data and communications efforts by transitioning existing staff members into new roles dedicated to these initiatives.
Last but not least, to accommodate our programs, we needed to increase our physical space, as well. We’ve just finished moving our office to a new (bigger!) space, which not only allows us room to grow but increases our Martha’s Cottage capacity.
There’s no better way to start a new year than with a new burst of energy and lots of new faces joining Team EAIME, but it’s fair to say that we’re all looking forward to settling into new roles and diving into the work about which we are all passionate. Onward and upward!
