On Thursday, July 18th, the Elder Abuse Institute of Maine Board of Directors, Staff, and Friends came together to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Elder Abuse Institute of Maine. As we add years to our lives, we can be unprepared for the power of aging itself — both its potential challenges and its potential gifts. The evening of celebration, conversation, and good company was highlighted by a conversation between national elder justice leader, author, and EAIME collaborator and friend, MT Connolly and EAIME executive director, Patty Kimball. This conversation explored the role of hope in transforming our collective approach to aging, elder abuse, and elder justice.
